Music New Instrumental Tunes on CDBaby

Seven of Margaret’s instrumental compositions, including instrumental tracks from her “Distant Thunder” and “Bricks in the Wall” CDS have recently become available for purchase on iTunes. This new selection includes “Happy Memories”, the song, which was previously used in an episode of “Off the Beaten Palate”, a Canadian food and travel show from Detroit Public Television. Behind the Scenes at Growing Azalea Music

Margaret’s Upcoming Album in the Works
Margaret, along with her Growing Azalea Music team, is getting ready to launch a fan-funded campaign on Pledge Music for her upcoming singer-songwriter CD, “Rainwater Runs Deep”, the follow up album to “Distant Thunder” CD in her rain-themed album trilogy. Azalea Blossom, the not for profit 501c3 organization, which Margaret founded in 2007 for the prevention, awareness and education of domestic violence and child abuse, is moving its headquarters to New York City with the aim of bringing the SAFE through the Arts violence prevention into public school kindergarten classrooms beginning in September. News from the Recording Studio

Margaret is currently in the recording studio working with producer Barb Morrison and recording engineer Jonathan Jetter on her song “Kaleidoscope”, which she intends on pitching to the country market later this spring. She is excited to be working again with fiddle/mandolin player Eamon O Rourke who graced “Let You Go” on Margaret’s “Bricks in the Wall” CD several years ago and also with rising talent Heather Culotta who sang vocals on the song demo.

Growing Azalea Music Welcomes New Intern
Growing Azalea Music would like to welcome our new intern, Jared Doxey, who hails from SUNY Oneonta where he is a senior music industry major. Jared will be helping to launch a kick-starter campaign later this spring and overseeing our social media sites, among other responsibilities.

Back in the Recording Studio
Margaret is overjoyed to be going back into the recording studio later this month to work on the song “Kaleidoscope”, which she wrote while at the REO songwriters retreat in British Columbia this past August. The song will be featured on Margaret’s upcoming album, “Rain Water Runs Deep”, which she hopes to have completed by the end of 2014. More news coming soon!

“Reciprocity” Music Video Submitted for a Grammy Nomination Consideration

Margaret’s new music video, “Reciprocity” was recently submitted to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for a Grammy nomination consideration. Nico Nepola directed and Margaret co-produced the music video with former Growing Azalea Music intern Shannon Mingal. The music video also features the acting talent of Jason Oginsky, Ignacyo Matynia, and camera assistance by Paul Passantino.
