Growing Azalea Music  is an independent music publishing company, record label and music production company featuring the work of Margaret Bernstein, a songwriter, composer and flutist. It is affiliated as a publisher with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). Margaret herself is affiliated with the registrar of Albany County businesses, the West Coast Songwriters Association, and the American Federation of Musicians Local #14 (Albany, NY).Growing Azalea’s music can be found in homes, centers, and schools throughout the United States and other countries including England, Scotland, France, India, and Canada. In addition, Growing Azalea’s Music is frequently featured on the “In the Spirit” show hosted by Gary Goldberg on WRPI 91.5 radio, Troy, NY, on Thursday (11 am – 3 PM, Eastern Standard Time). Margaret and her music has also recently been featured on an interview on New York Talk Radio with Mamapalooza’s founder, Joy Rose.

Growing Azalea Music owns a catalog of original music ranging from songs for school choruses and young children, to pop and country ballads and up-tempo selections. GAM also has a large selection of short instrumental compositions, ideal for film or TV spots. In addition, two original children’s musical plays are a part of the GAM catalog. Choral directors, artists, publishers, producers, and music directors looking for songs are encouraged to browse  here.

There are currently three titles available on the Growing Azalea Music label: “Bricks in the Wall”, “On the Threshold of Change” and “Full Circle”. Threshold and Full Circle are both instrumental albums featuring Margaret on flute, accompanied by piano, acoustic strings, and nature sound tracks. They are all available through our online distributor, CD Baby, and at select Border’s Books and Music Stores and independently owned stores.

 

Growing Azalea Music sponsors and endorses performances by Margaret Bernstein as a flutist and as a songwriter in concerts throughout the United States and abroad.
