Growing Azalea Music Pride Update

With the end of June rapidly approaching, we are happy to highlight and celebrate pride month! The Growing Azalea Music team has been and is currently made up of LGBTQ members who are loud and proud.

Nour started as an intern and rejoined the team in early 2021. He currently helps run the social media accounts, creates content, updates the website and more.

Barb has worked with Margaret on various projects producing her work. They have been an integral part of the Growing Azalea Music Team and its releases!

Margaret Jean Bernstein She/Her

Founder / Owner

Maragret founded Growing Azalea Music in the 90’s and released her debut album, “On The Threshold of Change” on it in 1999. Since then, she has released five studio albums including her latest album “Rainwater Runs Deep.”

Guitarist

Mini performed on “On The Threshold of Change,” Margaret’s debut album. Recently, Mimi performed a benefit concert for Azalea Blossom, Inc. to benefit the Safe Through The Arts program.

While pride is something LGBTQ people have year round, it's always important to remember the history of the LGBTQ community. June serves as a time to celebrate the wins and remember the losses, but one thing has always rang through regardless of the ups and downs - be proud of who you are.
